A Case for Navi

After a little technical difficulty with the blog, I have returned!  This is one of my most recent projects, a case for my GPS.  (Her name is Navi, which is important.  You'll see.)  Hit the jump for the details...

These are my initial sketches of what I wanted.  I was basing the case on (views D and E, I think, of) this McCall's pattern.

The first thing I did was sketch a full-scale version of the Navi crochet accent, and then I just sort of winged crocheting it.

After a little fiddling with pocket dimensions, here's the final result:

I'm really pleased with how it turned out.  It's something I've been meaning to do for a while now, and it's basically perfect.  And it even fits in the glove box!  I was a little worried....
